Customer Terms & 3D Printing Disclaimer
Please read this document carefully before placing your order. By commissioning our 3D printing and custom manufacturing services, you acknowledge, understand, and agree to the technical characteristics, material tolerances, refund structures, and liability boundaries outlined below.
Nature of Additive Manufacturing & Visual Standards
3D printing is fundamentally an additive manufacturing process where structures are built sequentially, layer-by-layer. Unlike mass-produced injection-molded commercial plastics, minor micro-structural variations are an inherent signature of this production method. The following characteristics are entirely normal and do not constitute manufacturing defects:
- Layer Lines & Texture: Microscopic layer paths and surface textures remain visible to varying degrees depending on geometry, material properties, and resolution tiers.
- Post-Processing Artifacts: Complex structures frequently demand temporary geometric supports. While we clean and trim these elements meticulously, small connection blemishes or matte surface deviations may persist at attachment coordinates.
- Dimensional Precision: While we leverage optimized high-precision hardware to secure strict compliance with digital boundaries, fractional dimensional tolerances and localized shrinkage are natural physical variables in cooling thermoplastic polymers.
Material Guidelines & Operating Envelopes
We process an array of standard and industrial thermoplastics. Selecting an engineering profile compatible with your part's deployment environment is vital to performance.

Carbon-Fibre (CF) Variants: PLA, PETG, and ABS are each available in carbon-fibre-reinforced variants on request. CF-filled filaments trade a matte, reduced-layer-line finish and increased stiffness and dimensional stability for greater brittleness and lower impact tolerance. Because CF particulate is abrasive, these variants are exclusively printed through hardened steel nozzles to prevent premature wear.
Production Track Classification
To maximize output accuracy, we optimize slicing profiles, infill density matrices, and speed thresholds based entirely on the targeted role of your object. All requests are segmented into two distinct manufacturing tracks:
Functional & Mechanical Components
Engineered for structural utility, brackets, fixtures, and enclosures. Production configuration strictly prioritizes cross-layer mechanical fusion, maximum wall shell count, and dense stress-distributing infill structures. Consequently, layer lines are more pronounced, and surface finishing yields a utility-focused cosmetic profile. Structural performance explicitly overrides pristine visual aesthetics.
Figurines, Display Pieces & Collectibles
Engineered for tabletop gaming miniatures, display dioramas, visual scale models, and cosmetic props. Slicing configurations leverage ultra-fine micro-layer paths to capture dense decorative details and minimize vertical stepping artifacts. Because these profiles optimize purely for visual precision and outward fidelity, they are inherently more delicate and lack the internal reinforcement required for physical load-bearing tasks.
Allocation of Manufacturing Risk & Limits of Perfection
Custom, on-demand fabrication involves complex thermal, physical, and mechanical transitions. Because every model features distinct geometries, Forge & Figures cannot guarantee absolute physical perfection or flawless, seamless plug-and-play mechanical operation.
- The Standard of Flawlessness: Additive manufacturing cannot produce completely flawless surfaces. Figurines, miniatures, and display models may feature micro-textures, tiny seam variances, or slight support marks that require light hobbyist sanding or priming by the customer. "Absolute aesthetic perfection" is an unachievable standard in raw 3D printing.
- Seamless Utility & Assembly Risk: For mechanical components composed of multiple interacting parts, we cannot guarantee seamless, frictionless movement straight off the print bed. Minor post-print adjustments, clearance filing, or technical lubrication may be required by the client to achieve custom operational preferences.
- Dimensional Fitment & Verification: It is the sole and exclusive responsibility of the customer to ensure that all digital dimensions, clearances, and tolerances are correct before submitting a file or approving a design for manufacturing. Forge & Figures prints to the explicit scale coordinates provided in the source file. We accept zero liability for parts that do not fit or function because of underlying dimensioning errors, insufficient assembly clearances, or measurement mistakes on the customer's end.
Refund, Cancellation, & Resolution Policy
No-Refund Baseline Policy: We do not offer or issue standard refunds on completed, processing, or active custom manufacturing orders. Because each model demands dedicated materials and machine queue constraints, all sales are final. A full refund will only be initiated if an explicit mechanical failure, structural deviation, or processing mistake is determined to be clearly and indisputably the fault of Forge & Figures.
Customer Consideration & Partial Discretionary Refunds: We highly value our client relationships and recognize that unique geometric challenges or project scope changes can occur. If an issue arises, we commit to genuinely reviewing and taking into consideration the customer's plea, operational constraints, and feedback. If an amicable middle-ground is warranted, Forge & Figures may, at its sole and absolute discretion, grant a partial refund or workshop credit to help mitigate material expenses.
Digital CAD Files, Modifications & Structural Integrity
When clients request solid-body adjustments or geometry adjustments, we utilize advanced design environments to modify profiles. However, the ultimate operational validation belongs to the consumer:
- Anisotropic Structural Integrity: Because 3D printed objects are built sequentially, they possess lower tensile strength along the vertical Z-axis (between layers) than along the horizontal X/Y planes. They are strictly prohibited from use in critical load-bearing, high-stress, or life-safety applications.
- Client-Supplied Geometries: For prints executed using digital assets (STLs, STEP files, or 3MF data) supplied directly by the client, Forge & Figures is solely responsible for accurate machine execution to standard parameters — but bears zero responsibility or liability for structural or mechanical failures tracking back to design flaws or structural engineering errors inherent to the source file.
Indemnification & Absolute Limitation of Liability
Forge & Figures operates exclusively as a custom on-demand contract fabrication house. Unless certified otherwise via a dedicated written accord, all outputs are delivered entirely "as-is" without explicit or implied warranties of merchantability, structural safety, or fitness for a specific operational purpose.
Under no circumstances shall Forge & Figures be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages, personal injuries, physical property degradation, or fiscal losses stemming from the application, misuse, or physical mechanical breakdown of our custom fabricated products. It remains the exclusive responsibility of the end-user to stress-test and validate all items inside their specific field environment.
Payment of the production deposit or full upfront quotation balance constitutes complete, binding, and unconditional acceptance of these technical boundaries, dimensional responsibilities, refund frameworks, and legal terms.
Custom 3D Modelling & Client-Supplied Specifications
Beyond printing from files a client already has, Forge & Figures also designs custom 3D models from scratch — built from measurements, reference photos, sketches, or a written brief supplied by the client. Because we are not physically present to verify the model against the real-world object, space, or fitting it is intended for, the accuracy of this process depends entirely on the information the client provides.
- Modelling to Client-Supplied Information: Custom models are built strictly to the measurements, dimensions, reference material, and functional requirements supplied by the client at the time of commissioning. Forge & Figures does not independently verify these figures against the physical object, space, or fitting the model is intended for.
- Client Responsibility for Accuracy: It is the sole responsibility of the client to supply accurate, complete, and correctly-measured specifications before modelling begins. Any measurement, estimate, or approximation communicated by the client is treated as final and is modelled exactly as given.
- Liability for Incorrect or Incomplete Specifications: If a client-supplied measurement, reference, or specification is later found to be incorrect, incomplete, or inconsistent with the real-world item or space, and this causes the finished model or print not to fit, function, or perform as intended, this does not constitute an error or fault on the part of Forge & Figures. Any redesign, remodelling, material, and reprinting costs required to correct the issue are for the client's account and will be quoted and charged as a new work order.
- Revisions Before Production: Reasonable rounds of revision to the digital model, made before production begins, are included as part of the modelling process. Rework required after printing because client-supplied information later proves inaccurate falls under the liability clause above rather than a free revision.
Collection Deadlines, Outstanding Balances & Right of Sale
14-Day Collection Window: Once a customer is notified that an order is complete and ready, they have 14 calendar days to collect it in person or confirm shipping arrangements. Orders left uncollected beyond this window become subject to the terms below.
Right of Sale on Uncollected, Unpaid Orders: If, after this 14-day window, an order remains uncollected, carries an outstanding balance, and the customer has not responded to our attempts to make contact, Forge & Figures reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to sell, repurpose, or otherwise dispose of the item without further notice, in order to recover outstanding materials, labour, and production costs.
Good-Faith Attempts to Contact: Before exercising this right, we will make a genuine, good-faith effort to reach the customer using the contact details provided at the time of order — by phone, email, or WhatsApp. Responsibility for keeping contact details current and responding promptly rests with the customer.
